THEME – Launch Pad Gallery invites you to submit work to Light Sensitive Material, our first ever juried show celebrating the gallery’s fourth anniversary. The show focuses on ANALOGUE PHOTOGRAPHIC PROCESSES, a dying media in this modern computer-driven era where many of our most cherished memories are recorded intangibly as data, a sequence of ones and zeros, rather than something you can hold in your hand.

This show is open to film photographers and light-workers at all levels of experience, including professional artists, amateurs, teachers and students. All work submitted to the show will be displayed in on-line form with links to the show site and mentions in all press and promotional materials.

MEDIA - This exhibit is open to work produced through the use of any light sensitive material. The work need not be presented in a traditional framed matted format, and alternative and sculptural processes are welcome so long as the work centrally incorporates the use of a light sensitive material. Any subject matter, style, and size is open for consideration. Wall-hung work must be securely supported and ready to hang (i.e. with a sturdy wire!!!).

ON-LINE ELEMENT - In keeping with our gallery’s mission to give exposure to emerging artists, foster community and encourage discussion inspired by and surrounding the arts, all submissions will be linked to the exhibit web page and promoted as a co-equal element of the show.

SALES - The Gallery keeps 30% of the sale price.

ENTRIES – ONE artwork per artist, submitted digitally via Flickr. We fully appreciate the irony implicit in requiring you to submit a digital image of your work for a show focusing on analogue photography, but we feel that the benefits of having you digitize a photograph that you are proud of and participate in an on-line community of photographers significantly outweighs the hassle involved.

FEES - A $5 non-refundable entry fee must accompany each submission, payable via Paypal or credit/debit card
